Useless facts
I've started up my useless facts again. Just thought everyone know just in case someone is reading the blog.

Soccer!
I am so proud of my team. Wildcats you rock! We had a game and they did wonderful. We made the first goal during the first quarter. Wow - what a rush. The Head Coach and I have been trying to teach the kids "pass, pass, and more passing" but they seem to have problems understanding the passing part of what we are teaching them. lol
That first goal was made because the kids did what we told them to do. They PASSED the ball. When they came off the field our center player said to me "Coach, I understand what passing does." I was so proud of them. But just because they understand what you teach them does mean roses all along the road. There are more things then passing in the game. There is positioning. That's another story. I believe if they would have stayed in their positions better we possibly would have done better. At one time after one of our players was out of their position and possibly lost us a goal, the head coach almost lost it. I told him with a straight face "Don't you know that where the ball is that is where (player) is suppose to be and he always needs to be where the ball is?." At that remark he laughed and told me "Thanks, I need to remember to cool down."
During the 2nd and 3rd quarter the other team scored 4 goals on us. Then in the 4th quarter I am proud to say that the Wildcats came back and tied the game up. It would have been nice to win the first game of the season but to tie it was sweet too. Yeah! Wildcats.
I've learned that I am not as young as I used to be though. I was...ummmmm... well sort of showing off way before the game and instead of dribbling the ball and kicking it to where I wanted it to go... well lets just say I sort of dribbled it and then when I kicked it - I have no idea were it went but I landed on my face. ouch. I didn't hurt anything - except for my pride. lol Then I didn't learn my lesson. I went to retrieve another ball and set up to kick it. I did kick it and it did go where I wanted it too but my knee popped. I didn't hurt until that night and then in the morning I had a stiff body. Oh man, I remember when I could play and do well. Maybe I'll just stick to teaching the kids how to play.

Where were you?
Have you ever asked that question? "Where were you when (famous day in history) happened?"
One time we had that conversation with a group of people that told where they were at Pearl Harbor, John F. Kennedy's assassination, September 11, and a few other dates in history.
On September 11, 2001 I was a Senior at BJU. I was walking to my 9:30 class via the Snack Shop in the Student Center. As I entered the Snack Shop, I saw many students watching the TV. First thought "A video". I decided I didn't need the coffee or donut that I was planning to get and looked at the screen. I saw a plane heading towards a tall building. I had no idea what building it was. I still was thinking that this was a new video that had just come out. I turned around and heading out of the snack shop. It was approx. 9:15 and I headed for class. I made my way to the gym (I was a Health, Fitness, Recreation Major) without meeting up with anyone (or anyone who knew what was going on). As I walked down the hallway to the classroom my teacher came out of the classroom and said "America is under Terrorist attack". As a good student, I didn't believe him. He said "listen to the radio". I did and I realized he was right. I don't remember how that class went but later on that day my 3:00pm class was State and Local Government. In this class, we dropped everything and talked about what this attack meant for our country's.
I heard about many people who for one reason or another did not make it to work and that saved their life. But others, many others went to work and lost their life. One thing to think about is that this day might be the last day you can do something for Jesus. This day might be the last time you say "I love you" to someone.
Well, so "Where were you...?"

Long weekend
This weekend is a long weekend! We were going to go on a walk by one of the rivers today but Jesse is sick. At least he has until Monday night to recover.
Tomorrow I teaching in the 2 year old SS class. I've been substituting there for over a month. It's been fun. :-) The lesson is about Paul on the island of Malta. God takes care of Paul.

September already?
Where has the year gone!? It seems just yesterday I was at church for the Christmas eve service and now in just a few months that's where we will be again. This year has run by so quick.
Last spring I started helping out in a community soccer program. I'm an assistant coach in the U-10 division and I have tons of fun. It is so neat to see the kids grasp concepts and improve their abilities.
This year Jesse and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We went on our annual trip to TN. I made the trip memorable by forgetting the clothes that were hanging in the closet. We found out that I had forgotten them when we arrived at our destination. We made a trip to Wal-mart where I was able to find a nice blouse and skirt. This was the first time that I allowed Jesse to buy me souvenir clothing. We both agree that this trip has been the BEST trip ever.
A week after our trip to TN we headed up to PA for my sister's wedding. Jesse was sick practically the whole time, poor guy.
It was nice to be back home after being gone practically 2 weeks. We had stopped back in for a few days between our trip to TN and PA. Our wonderful, little cat were very clingy once we got back. They had lost lots of weight. The little ones lost at least 2 to maybe 3 pounds while Sakura lost close to 5 pounds. Since we have been home they have all gained some weight back. We have added different food in order to entice them to eat.
Soccer season has started again and tonight was our first practice. It was a good practice. We have 3 new players. The others on our team were with us last season.
Happy 1st day of September
